A delegation of rabbis from the Rabbinical Centre of Europe (RCE) met with the Polish President Bronisław Komorowski on Friday in honor of the upcoming holiday.
The group was headed by Shliach to Milan, Italy Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik, from the founders of the RCE.
Also in group were Shliach to Warsaw, Rabbi Sholom Ber Stambler, and Poland's Chief Rabbi, Michael Schudrich.
When presented with Matzah, the president recalled how under communist rule the stores would surreptitiously sell Matzah under the guise of 'dietetic bread'.
